DEDON a world-class manufacturer and exporter of inspirational furniture for exteriors with offices all over the world is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer in our Greensboro, NC location.

Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System(QMS) to assess, report and improve product quality, analyze Customer Feedback, develop Corrective Action Plans for quality and process improvement, monitor and audit the quality performance of suppliers through Receiving Inspection, conduct Process Audits, and Lean Six Sigma projects including Kaizen events and 5S events. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and Implements the Quality Management System(QMS) standards in the department and support QMS related activities.
  • Gathers, processes and reports data on product defects.
  • Analyzes Customer Feedback data and identifies corrective actions. Obtains technical support from other department if needed.
  • Implements and tracks corrective action plans and evaluates the effectiveness of the implemented actions.
  • Develops an audit checklist and plans and reports results of Process Audits.
  • Tracks the implementation of Process Audit action plans to ensure that corrective or preventive actions are taken based on the results.
  • Oversees Incoming Inspection of raw materials and collects and reports data.
  • Perform Lean Six Sigma activities such a Kaizen Events and 5S Events.
  • Recommends improvements to immediate superior and management based on the analysis of customer feedbacks, product defects, Incoming Inspection, process audits and from any other inputs.
  • Implements Quality Systems/ Programs, productivity and improvement programs assigned by the immediate superior.


job specifications 

  • Bachelor of Science degree with strong technical background
  • At least 2 years of experience as Quality Engineer in a manufacturing company with knowledge of Quality Tools
  • Knowledge in ISO 9001 preferably experience as internal Quality Auditor
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and methods
  • Possess good analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills and can deal with all levels in the organization
  • Responsible, honest, highly motivated, articulate and able to handle people
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Technical reporting skills
  • Furniture experience preferred
